ANGKOR WAT  Main   Entrance   TEMPLE CITY CAMBODIA.   Approach to the the first outer gallery via
 a long bridge over a  moat. Angkor Wat is the majestic work of  Suryavarman II (1113-c. 1150).   A moat and three galleries encircle the  five central 
shrines.The first gallery has square pillars on the outer side and a closed wall on the inner side.The temple is supposed to be invulnerable 
and During the war which began in 1970, the inhabitants of Sieam Reap had taken refuge inside the temple, causing much subsequent destruction.
